You guys rock. I was looking for other ways to get my bosses name out around the community via the internet and this definitely helped. It will hopefully allow me to get my creative juices flowing with the videos and articles, and get me off the cold calls -_-. Keep up the good work.

Hi Ethan,

Thank you for that video. I am trying to learn more about SEO and trying to get my company to pop up under the relevant search words on google as well as other search engines...

How do you get your company to be listed under the Google "Local Business results for..."?

John,

You're welcome. The quotations are a google search thing. Basically it means you are only going to pull up pages that have the exact phrase that you've typed in quotes.

For example: if I Type in "Get insurance quote" into google, it will only pull up those pages that have those words in a phrase.

This help me as a marketer to know how many pages are competing for that phrase.

if you just type in Get Insurance Quote without the quotes around it, it is a broad match. Meaning google will pull up all the pages that have those words on it. Basically you will be competing with more pages.

So, you want to find phrase matches with less competing pages so you can rank quickly for those keyword in Google.

Hope that helps,

Ethan

thanks for the "search term" info. I don't understand the quotations around the search terms in Google search. I understand by using quote you group the two or three words together. Although the typical person searching doesn't use quotes around their search term.

Am I missiong something?

Thanks ... John
