I have been in the business since 1997. My mother has been in this business since 1980 and I have been around it for that time. My mom was my mentor. She is now a senior semi-retired. I hope to be as successful as my mom.
I started in the financial services business with a national “wire house” in 2002 and spent the next three years apologizing to my wife for how little money I was making. In 2004 I was told by my broker/dealer that the defined benefit plan I was putting together for a client was no longer an option. I went home that night very discouraged and thought, “If I were independent I could offer this to my client.” Five years ago I resigned and started my own business. My client stayed with me and I did the deal. Three months later I got a check for $81,000 commission! My wife cried. I’m excited about 2010 and look forward to another great year and am very interested in the counsel I can receive from Insurance Mavericks.
Just ordered the Free Leads and I’m looking forward to getting the results that you and Ethan talked about. I have been in the P&C business for 20+ years. I owned my owned agency with one of the big three but was terminated 9/1/09 due to “lack of production”. However, I have no regrets because the company gave me the first opportunity to own my own business. I grew my agency from scratch to one of the top agencies for home insurance for three consecutive years. I also was a top life producer due to my HO production, sold a ton of mort. protection. But the company stop selling HO and there went my HO and life production. I love selling insurance! I have been interviewing and I now have a “great” chance of getting hired on with the #2 life insurance company. So, I purchased your system to help me get off to a great start in selling life insurance. I like the idea of niche marketing, this is how I built my agency. So, I look forward to great things with this system.
I’m Paul Dulanas, licensed underwriter of Health, Variable Universal Life, and Life Insurance in the Philippines. I’ts been a 2 months now since i engaged into this business. i definitely feel the same feelings you had when you where just starting out.

Michelle; that’s pretty awesome that your mother was your mentor in the business. My dad owns a small business and I learned alot from him.
Jerry- I’m with you…I LOVE selling. In fact that was my biggest challenge as an agent. I loved the thrill of the kill, then I moved on and never got the paperwork done right!
My assistants hated me for it
Bill- $81,000 check makes all the hard work worthwhile doesn’t it! Congrats on that, and lets get you a few more in 2010!
After being an owner of a P/C brokerage I was force to sell it by larger broker in town as he got the insurance company to cancel me. I stay on with the buyer until he want me to earn him more money for this Kids that were coming in and want me to train the Brats. I told him to stuff it and left and waited two yrs and got 80% of my clients back with another firm. As we had a family member that need live in care we moved to another town and my clients stay with me eventhou I was 2 hours away (cell and emails work well. The firm I was with got a big buyer to buy the business and my clients also, so I decided to take a break as 30 yrs in the business. I was hired to manage a brokerage with a staff of 20 and it was short term as owner wanted my knowledge pass on to Daugther (22)so after 3 yrs I was back in sales as producer. Well I have found things changed knocking on doors (commercial insurance) made me feel like a beggar on the street, cold phone calls was not me. So I hired a Telemarketing company at a cost of $ 1700 for 12 appiontments - should have bought case of wine and drank instead. I have try wwww.talkfusion.com, unlockthegame.com If I add the cost it was over $ 5,000 and no sales. Should I spend more money?
So my story is I started in the Financial Services industry
about 6 years ago after trying a bunch of MLM companies and having limited sucess actually in many cases spending more than I was making and watching all the leaders buy new houses and new cars etc while we were struggling to get by and it was not until I became an independent General Agent that I started seeing substantial money coming in. Now that I have been independent for a just a short time I would like to have a system where by people who truly need my guidance and help are calling me and asking me when I have the time to meet with them. I have helped countless individuals and families to get back on track financially and am highly motivated to help many mnay more to do the same. I again would like a solid system that can bring the right kind of potential client to me so I know I am not wasting my time and so I can have an oportunity to have a large impact on their future as well as the childrens future and so on. I am looking forward to hearing from someone that can show me how to do this without a large upfront cost to me. Thanks Andrew Greenberg
